I plan to visit him in March,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 15px; line-height: 20px; font-size: 12px; color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">The former professor at the Central University for Nationalities in&nbsp;Beijing was sentenced to life in prison following his conviction on a&nbsp;charge of \u201cseparatism\u201d by the Urumqi Intermediate People&#8217;s Court in&nbsp;Xinjiang on Sept. 23, 2014.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 15px; line-height: 20px; font-size: 12px; color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">She said that Tohti is locked in a cell alone own in&nbsp;Urumqi&#8217;s No. 1 Prison, but he doesn\u2019t have to work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 15px; line-height: 20px; font-size: 12px; color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u201cHe also receives a physical exam&nbsp;every other week.
