This is what happened to the family of 44-year-old Turghunjan, who I met while on a visit to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/topics\/country\/turkey.html\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\">Turkey<\/a>&nbsp;to interview Uighur refugees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Turghunjan owned a <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">jewellery<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> business and for four years was regularly <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">travelling<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> between Turkey and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/topics\/country\/china.html\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\">China<\/a>. During one of those trips in mid-2017, his family members were arrested without any explanation and his bank accounts frozen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">&#8220;I have nothing to lose, as they have arrested my wife for nothing, and I don&#8217;t know the whereabouts of my two baby twins and <\/span><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">teenage<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"> boy,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We only want peace, security, democracy, and freedom. People like me &#8211; who are living outside China and who lost contact with their family members &#8211; are giving tremendous sacrifices for peace.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">He broke down and sobbed while telling me his story. This has been one of many Uighur families that have been broken by Beijing&#8217;s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2018\/09\/amnesty-demands-answers-china-internment-uighurs-180925054340843.html\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\">continuing repression<\/a>&nbsp;in Xinjiang (East Turkestan).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">In August, the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination released a report in which it said that <\/span><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">some one<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> million Uighurs have been detained into &#8220;counterterrorism&#8221; <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">centres<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"> in China and that two million have been forced into &#8220;re-education camps for political and cultural indoctrination&#8221;.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">The Chinese government bluntly denied these accusations and rebuffed the committee at the time. But just two months later, it appeared to <\/span><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">legalise<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"> these&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2018\/10\/10\/asia\/xinjiang-china-reeducation-camps-intl\/index.html\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">internment camps<\/span><\/a><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">It changed local legislation in Xinjiang to allow&nbsp;<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">re-education camps<\/span>&nbsp;to also implement &#8220;anti-extremist ideological education&#8221;.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrw.org\/report\/2018\/09\/09\/eradicating-ideological-viruses\/chinas-campaign-repression-against-xinjiangs\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to human rights <\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrw.org\/report\/2018\/09\/09\/eradicating-ideological-viruses\/chinas-campaign-repression-against-xinjiangs\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">organisations<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">, detainees in these camps&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">are forced to learn Chinese Mandarin, recite praises to the CCP and <\/span><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">memorise<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> rules guiding their &#8220;proper&#8221; <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">behaviour<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">, while living in harsh conditions and experiencing&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/indepth\/features\/escape-xinjiang-muslim-uighurs-speak-china-persecution-180907125030717.html\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\">psychological and physical abuse.<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">This is the latest iteration of the assimilationist policies adopted by the Chinese government and motivated by the ethnocentric ideology of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marxists.org\/chinese\/maozedong\/marxist.org-chinese-mao-193912aa.htm\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dominance of Han ethnicity<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; the largest ethnic group in China &#8211; has been inscribed into the writings of Mao Zedong, the founding father of the People&#8217;s Republic of China, and put into practice in various forms over the past seven decades.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">As part of these practices, the Chinese government has been systematically trying to erase Uighur culture and ethnicity in Xinjiang. Apart from these &#8220;re-education camps&#8221; for adults, there are also camps and schools for Uighur children where they are cut off from their family, language, religion <\/span><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">and<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"> culture. Chinese state media regularly circulate photos and news articles&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">depicting Uighur children&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.xjjw.gov.cn\/zhuzhan\/weisfc\/20180904\/20587.html\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">dressed up like Han Chinese<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">,<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">studying<\/span><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> Mandarin and learning about <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Han<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"> culture<\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">The Chinese government has also gone as far as violating the privacy of Uighur homes in pursuing its assimilationist policies. In 2016, it launched the &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrw.org\/report\/2018\/09\/09\/eradicating-ideological-viruses\/chinas-campaign-repression-against-xinjiangs\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">Becoming Family<\/span><\/a><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrw.org\/report\/2018\/09\/09\/eradicating-ideological-viruses\/chinas-campaign-repression-against-xinjiangs\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">&#8220;<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">initiative<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"> forcing Uighur families to host CCP cadres at their homes for at least 5 days every two months.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">The Chinese state is also actively fighting against the religious identity of the Uighurs and has officially declared Islam an&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/nymag.com\/intelligencer\/2018\/08\/china-muslims-camps-uighur-communist-party-islam-mental-illness.html?gtm=bottom&amp;gtm=top\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">&#8220;ideological illness&#8221;.<\/span><\/a><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">&nbsp;It has destroyed many mosques, banned religious clothing and even Islam&#8217;s holy book, the Quran. It has forced Muslims to abandon Islamic burials and accept the Chinese tradition of cremation, which the state is&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rfa.org\/english\/news\/uyghur\/crematoriums-06262018151126.html\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">rapidly expanding&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">in Xinjiang<\/span><\/a><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">It has also issued legal directives which specifically targets religious <\/span><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">behaviour<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">. The Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cecc.gov\/resources\/legal-provisions\/xinjiang-uyghur-autonomous-region-regulation-on-the-comprehensive\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">Regulation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">&nbsp;on the Comprehensive Management of Social Order outlines a number of measures which local state institutions have to undertake, including &#8220;managing religious affairs&#8221; and &#8220;conducting anti-cult education&#8221;.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">The implementation of these policies has led to the <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">labelling<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> of everyday activities of Muslims as extremist, such as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2018\/10\/china-urumqi-takes-aim-extremist-religious-practices-181010062105614.html\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 80, 121); text-decoration-line: underline; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;\">choosing to eat halal<\/a>, refusing to marry Han Chinese, and or using Islamic greetings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">The Chinese government has used three accusations as justifications for its massive repressions against the Uighurs: extremism, terrorism <\/span><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">and<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"> separatism.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">The first charge &#8211; extremism &#8211; seems to be <\/span><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">levelled<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"> against anyone who proudly expresses their Uighur identity. There is nothing extreme about demanding cultural and religious rights.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">Then, there is the threat of &#8220;terrorism&#8221;. There have been indeed violent incidents in Xinjiang, but protesting publicly is not terrorism. It<\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">&nbsp;is not too hard to fathom that when people are <\/span><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">oppressed,<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> when their dignity is violated, when they are not allowed to <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">practise<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> their religion and culture, when their family members are arrested simply because of their identity, public anger, frustration <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">and<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"> mistrust are inevitable.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">Apart from that, there have been some scattered violent incidents in our heavily policed homeland and there have been some Uighurs joining terrorist <\/span><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">organisations<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"> abroad.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\">But is also an undeniable fact that the vast majority of Uighurs have chosen non-violence even in the face of increasingly violent <\/span><\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">behaviour<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 20px !important; line-height: 1.7 !important;\"> by the state towards them. And while state security is important for any country, it is unacceptable and ridiculous to claim that terrorism is rooted in an ethnicity or a religion.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">The Uighurs are also accused of separatism, but they don&#8217;t intend to get separated from China. They see their homeland as a <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">colonised<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> land which was not Chinese territory historically. They are struggling against both Chinese colonialism and the Chinese state&#8217;s Han-centric ideology to establish peace, freedom <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">and<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> democracy in the region.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 18px; line-height: 1.7; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 252);\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Every Uighur, including myself, desperately wants peace, freedom, and democracy in East Turkestan.
